PRESS: Govt may send 3 bln rbl to back interregional flights 2020
MOSCOW, Jun 22 (PRIME) -- The Russian government may allocate another 3 billion rubles in 2020 to subsidize interregional flights of airlines that use new domestically-made planes after the coronavirus-related restrictions are lifted, Kommersant business daily reported on Monday citing a letter of Deputy Transport Minister Innokenty Alafinov to the Economic Development Ministry.
The government will also send 1.67 billion rubles to subsidize special-tariff flights to the Far East, Crimea and the Kaliningrad Region in additional to the previously allocated 5.8 billion rubles.
The interregional flights subsidies amounted to 3.3 billion rubles in 2018, 7.8 billion rubles in 2019, and were planned at 8.3 billion rubles in 2020.
